Satisfying the need for speed....legally

Ahhh.... No better way to cap off a crazy day than getting to legally run her up to 85mph on the new tollway south of town.... Coming 80mph around the south east corner of 130 heading for home, Elvira just pulled me left onto the southbound lanes and said "Let's go!".... I couldn't refuse her request so headed south on the 85mph section for a few miles before turning around and heading back to town.... It was good for both of us...

I could be wrong, but I think 85mph is too fast for the majority of people. Most people drive like idiots going 35-55mph.

I'd be so content to be able to do 85 legally.

Especially those that shouldn't be multitasking at those speeds.

I love that road. Every time I go up that way I make sure to go that way. Last time I was up there it was pretty empty. Has it gotten more popular since its getting attention?

85 is a decent clip but life begins at a 100+

Nope, I drove it several times while putting miles on my new motor. They ran a trucker special for a while, and may still be, but even that didn't pull too many trucks... Still very light traffic, especially the road down towards Seguin....

I am not saying responsible people have issues with high speeds. It the 5% of idiots that ruin it for 95% of responsible people.

The triple threat: woman driving, on the phone, makeup/eating

one of the car mags had a short story on a guy who was clocked doing 242mph in a yellow c-5 corvette somewhere in Texas. When he was finely stopped, he went straight to jail; for reckless driving I presume.
