Alpha vs Zeta platforms: Facts request.

The title is self explanatory. I'm a novice for that type of detail. But other than weight, (how much less weight I don't know either) does anyone know what the differences will be?

Thanks,
Thok

Alpha's a bit more scaleable I believe, is AWD capable, and was engineered for LT-series V8 use.

The big difference is as you said, weight.

You have to be more specific. We all hear Alpha platform and forget that there are more than one. The ATS gets the 109.3in wlb and the CTS gets the 114.6in wlb version. The current Camaro's Zeta2 has a 112.3in wlb.

To be honest we all hope Camaro will use the ATS version but in all honesty no one here knows. I've stated in another thread:

I know it seems painfully obvious that the ATS' version will be the go to platform. However, since two do exist, the question should at least be asked at least once.

We all heard "Alpha" and assumed smaller. But how many consitered "Alpha" and same size? And even if this were the case, we all know the Alpha based car of even the same size would outpace and underweigh the current Zeta2 car by quite the margin.

Most indications point to SWB Alpha.
