Exact production date of car??

Is there a sticker on the car that states what day body and drivetrain were put together? Not the doorjamb which only states 3/'16. I think gen5 did.

5th gens have stickers in the engine bay and rear end with tiny print of date and time of production, not sure if this is on the 6th gens

I have looked unsuccessfully looked for one and looked for posts that said how to find one.

Until something comes up, the Order Event History provides the build assembled answer, which works for me.

Should be on the build sheet. Mine was started on 3/4 and finished on 3/5.

Not sure if they still put the build sheet between the backseat anymore like in the old days , but mine has a ton of stickers all over the engine bay, found a few under the rear wheel wells...etc All saying 11/30/15. I'm not too familiar with the whole GM production process and documentation, but those stickers have to mean something. Because my door jamb sticker says mine was built on 11/15. But all my small stickers say 11/30/15. So by that right, it should of been made on 11/30/15 since the day after would of been december 1st and my door sticker should of said 12/15 then.

I had my salesmen grab the build sheet before it was thrown out. It was in the trunk.

You can go to your service manager with your VIN number and they can tell you anything you want to know.

I forgot about the Vehicle Build list which your dealer can print out (as well has the Order Event History).

On the 5th Gens, one place many people looked was looking down at the front frame rai I believe with the hood opened. It was an easy sticker to see, but even then, the date on it was simply the date that subassembly was made, and not necessarily the car as a whole, itself.

It all depends on just how accurate of a date you're looking for. I believe the most accurate date for the assembly of the car as a whole will be on the build sheet itself.

The service order for my first oil change at the dealer showed the production date for my car. Produced 5 Feb 2016, purchased 5 Mar 2016.

Yep, we would find the date/time and add four hours and that would give an accurate idea.
