Maybe a new Camaro for Christmas!

I'm about to start looking at different cars and the Camaro is one of them. A few other cars I'm looking at are the 335i coupe e92 and Ecoboost Mustang. Since the Camaro and Mustang would be new I would be leasing. This won't be a daily driver rather a second car. My daily driver is a Buick Lucerne which is great for everyday driving. I even have snow tires for the winter. The Camaro I won't be driving in the snow, I have the Buick for that. I spec'd out a Camaro on the site with Red Hot exterior, black interior, technology package and RS package, and auto and v6. Does anyone know if the auto is a no cost option for 2017? My final build price came to 30,495 I believe.

I haven't test drove the Camaro yet but I have sat in one and does feel different than the 335i and Mustang. I test drove the Mustang and it has a long hood compared to the Camaro. But I was disappointed in the Ecoboost motor maybe I didn't get on it enough but it didn't seem that good, perhaps it was the regular fuel.

The 335i coupe would be used and I know that maintenance can get bad if the vehicle wasn't maintained well. But does seem like a great built car. I will have to go for ride at my local car max in one.

What do you guys think of those choices?

Leasing is currently a poor option for the Mustang and Camaro. I just went through the same exercise on a nearly identical car and you'd be better off (lower payment) buying a '16 with the 20% incentive plus dealer discounts and low rate financing through your credit union.

Ford is currently throwing a $5000 dealer incentive at '16 Mustangs.

Neither steep discount is compatible with leasing and neither is offering a subsidized money factor or residual.

I guess Ford and Chevy want you to buy.

Which kind of stinks because I typically lease. GM has pulled back on leasing offers quite a bit in the past year and Ford hasn't really been aggressive in over 5.

I had an E92 coupe (2011 335is) and loved it. Just don't buy one out of warranty and read up on the N54 engine. Either one is a nice car. Enjoy!

The 8 speed is not a no-cost option

I might be able to swing a 1ss instead if I trade in my current car. I found a red Camaro with just auto. List price $39705, with 20% discount plus 2500 dealer discount. I would have no regrets with the V8. What do you guys think? Would you sacrifice leather seats for a V8? I know everyday I drive the V8 I would have a smile on my face

You may want to look at TCO (total cost of ownership). The V8 may cost more on insurance and may drink a bit more gas. Tires will be more expensive, as well. Just my two cents, only worth a single penny in today's economy.

I picked up my LEASED 2016 Camaro 2SS on 12-24-15. I told my wife its my Christmas present to myself LOL. Been leasing cars since 1994 and just my preference due to where i live and the mileage i used to put on the cars for work. Always been a good write off... Enjoy whatever you do happen to get into!

Right. That's because all GM cars are offered as standard with a manual transmission, so the automatic can be a $1500 option. You notice that it's rare to find a manual on a dealer lot. If you want manual, you usually have to order it.

Just curious do all 2016 Camaro have the tag and if they don't could you ask for it? I would presume they make it work some way.
