Return on investment. Ford didn't make money on the GT-40 revival.

If you really need this, somebody out there makes a fiberglass kit car body that you can put on a VW. Go for it.

It's a cruel world. But the Z/28 is breath of fresh air! Enjoy it, you fortunate ones!

See ya around the asphalt.

Yes, I think so, too. Mostly, it was just a gutsy thing to do.

It's refreshing to see a team buck the bureaucracy, and against all odds,
pull off a win like this. Doesn't happen often; but when it does it kinda
makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck, and makes you want to
stand up and cheer.

Great work, team Z/28. We thank you.

What impresses me is that they sold the idea of the Z/28 right after finishing the ZL1 design. Felt the Z/28 needed to be more pure. Chevy is committed to performance. The new Z06 is the ultimate

We are lucky, the Gen 5 platform is getting old and this is what car companies do to wring out some more sales before people start waiting for a new model, add goodies never offered before, 1LE, Z/28. Great for us, extra sales they would have missed w/o them. BMW did the same thing with the M3 the last 2 years, special frozen paint, Limerock editions etc.. Chevy already had the motor they were going to move away from so they extend those as well. Win/win.

I believe you can get a CAV version for 100K . Super performance builds a GT40, shelby cobra coupe and a corvette grand sport. If you want to drive and have fun in one that is the way to go.

I will, but unfortunately, Lehman is the only source I trust on this.

He's been there, done it all, and has the T-shirts. He speaks the truth.

THANK YOU! Made the corrections. In my defense, I was late to the game.
My first Z/28 was an '84, and I don't remember if it had a slash or not.
No excuse. I'll remember now.

Z/28 is raw and visceral with handling prowess.

C7 is an amazing bargain in a more parking friendly car.

Z/28 far more unique and special with a more comfortable and spacious interior----C7 is like a video game inside and out.

Z/28 is a special car ....a special experience.

There's a special surprise hidden inside every Z/28. Some of us choose the Red Pill, others take The Blue...

There were some 83 Vettes Manufactured

Ford has never been that successful at selling sportscars.

Chevy makes serious coin selling Vettes, and still does. Only 1 year out, which was a changeover year for the C3/C4, 1983. If you don't count that hiccup in production, it is perhaps oldest continuous sportscar model in history. 61 years?
There were 1983 Corvettes manufactured. They even display one such at the Corvette Museum. I think another seven or so were sent to the crusher, but were definitely 1983 models. I'm positive my 1984 Corvette was manufactured in September 1983. I don't own that car anymore, but I see it around town once in a while...I'm going to check the build date.

^ Yep, some '83 models were made for the new C4 year... But I think they ended up introducing it as a '84 model... I think they ended up crushing most of the '83's.... They had one '83 on display at the NCM.
