Debadged after day 1

I just got my newly acquired 14 2LT RS. After I got the Zurich protection plan applied to my car I headed over to the body shop to see what they could do about the badges and for $20, they did pretty good job removing all the badges except for the front bowtie (I have plans for that later). What really ticked me off is that the guys who did the protection job applied the dealership's white vinyl on my rear bumper even though I asked for them not too. Sorry about the rain and crap paint skills.

Dealership took my "CAMARO" emblems off so the Xpel would not have emblem cutouts on the sides. They gave me new ones, but I like the sides debadged and will leave it that way

Looks good. Had my Camaro side badges left off when I had my wreck repair. Will someday get to the back bowtie. and I want to do a heritage grill on the front with out bowtie. unless I can get my hands on one of those Z28 flow ties!

I've noticed this being a common trend on the GM side of the fence. From the perspective of an outsider, per se, I don't understand why folks do this. Not to take away from it, I just don't understand. Is there an underlying purpose to this or do people just not like the factory emblems/badges?

Look at mt car, if you gotta ask "what kind of car is that?" then you just don't know.

$20?! All it takes is some dental floss and about 15-20 minutes to do it yourself. All of the sticky goo underneath rolls right off with your finger, you don't even need goo-gone or anything like that with a brand new car.

Looks good, though!

Did the same, best way to go. Camaro don't need no badge.

It's common all over the car world, not just GM. Some people like the flashiness of shiny badges, but removing them can give a car more of a "clean" look.

My Camaro's badges all remain intact, but I've done the same with my WRX to get rid of the ugly chrome letters.

I like cars better with their original badges.

Me too, it makes the car look A LOT cleaner. Even better with the Blade Spoiler.
So far only removed the rear badge and plasti-dipped the front and side emblems.
Here's a pic.

We are all different. The day I picked up my Camaro (8/21/09) I drove directly to my buddy's body shop to have my
pre ordered SS fender emblems installed. I like the clean look also but always felt these were made to be here.
