Rear Gears ?

Does any one make rear gears around maybe 4:56 or so that will fit in the 1Le diff? Sure would be nice for the drag strip!

The 1LE is a track oriented car so I would think about going with something else.

Thanks captain obvious! hence why mods exist!

The 1le differential is part 22806794. I'd start by looking at what other gm cars its in. It will help broaden your search past "1le rear gear"

Anything that fits in the 2010+ SS will fit in the 1LE.

I think, perhaps, he was alluding to the fact that there's a lot of stuff on the 1LE not suited to a drag strip, and possibly wasted money...if the drag strip is the only goal.

Maybe, but what car from the factory is suited for a drag strip? All need mods to make ideal. Just didn't see what the point of even responding was to point out it has a track package, and a big part of the track package setup is gearing.

And to be honest I think these 1le's get to much of a "track only" wrap. The wheels and tires were worth the 3500, the rest was just icing on the cake!

I think though the standard 1LE gearing closely resembles the first two gears of the standard LS3 SS with the 3.42 gears.

I am not able so far to beat my best 60' LS3 '11 SS times on Pirellis with my NT555R drag radials on my 1LE. I am sure part of it is my technique, but I wonder if the bigger front sway bar and stiffer shocks are hurting weight transfer and hence the 60'.

Sill my 1LE is running good times considering the 60' it is getting. But 11's will be tough.

A couple of stock 1LEs have run 112 mph quarters, but struggle to get into the 12s. No standard LS3 SSes have run 112. This may be because the standard SS requires a shift to fourth to get over 110 mph.

Not arguing with you, but can someone confirm this?

Right. Like the half shafts could snap as they have for others on this site.

Richmond makes a 4.33 that will work.

No worries as you should. The rear end is 100% standard 2010+ Camaro SS/M6 with the only diff being the 3.91 ring and pinion.

The ZL1 has a unique rear end

The Z/28 is similar to the standard SS rear end with the addition Torsen Helical diff and different cover for the rear diff cooling system.
