How to fit 335 tires on your car
So for my next DIY i want to fit 335 or 345 under the car in 20 in rimes, This will be a min of 2-4 mouths of finding how to move the fuel lines and min tubing the car to fit a tire that big, I have the rimes now and have ordered the gas fill line to have a extra one, To look at and plan how to do this, One more thing i want to do is move the fill spout for the gas to the top of the quarter panel.
Lets see if any one wants in on this DYI. |

Only 2 ways to get that.
1. Add fender flares 2. shorten axle which vendors sell.. I run 345/20s on our Vette |

Ok so you can see the size of tire i want under the car.
Wheel 1 Wheel 2 Wheel size 20x9 ET40 20x11.5 ET 56 BackSpace 167 mm (6.6'') 214 mm (8.4'') 47 mm (1.9'') deeper. Rim Lip 15 mm (0.6'') wider Tires: Tire 1 Tire 2 Tire size 275/40-20 345/30-20 Section width 275 mm (10.8'') 345 mm (13.6'') Sidewall 110 mm (4.3'') 104 mm (4.1'') Tire diameter 728 mm (28.7'') 716 mm (28.2'') 12 mm (1.6%) shorter. Rim sizes 20x8.5 to 20x10.5 20x11 to 20x13 Circumference 2286 mm (90'') 2248 mm (88.5'') Revs per mile 704 715.8 Speedometer Assuming that this is OEM tire and speedometer readings are correct When speedometer reads 60mph (96.6km/h) actual speed will be 59mph (95km/h): 1.7% slower. Clearance: Package 1 Package 2 Suspension Assuming that this is OEM wheel/tire and there is no any problems with clearance on both sides Package is 51 mm (2'') closer to suspension/brakes components. Make sure that you have enough room for that. If not, consider lower offset, narrower tires or using spacers. Fenders Package will stick out 19 mm (0.7'') farther. Make sure that you have enough room under the fender. If not, consider narrower tires or higher offset. Wheelwells 100% clear (leaves even more room than OEM). |

This is what we did to fit a 345:
Wheels are 18 x 12.5 with M/T 345 DR's The bottom pic may look a little funny since the car is jacked up slightly still. |

Passenger side is the same as the drivers side for clearance. The SST is a little different in that it has the fuel tanks in the trunk, but we retained the stock fill nozzle location and ran dual tank filler tubes. Hope this helps. Last edited by speedster; 12-15-2010 at 12:14 PM. |
