Ive had mine for 3 years and they are great.....the only issue ive had is an annoying squeal when breaking after a lil dust starts to build up.

It's better to educate the consumer, one or two at a time, up to however many people read threads such as this one.

I'm sure that several vendors here and elsewhere already know what my position is on certain products (hint: they're not all brake components). As an individual, that's already the best I can hope for.

I know my Hawk ceramics have a LOT less dust than the OEM pads. But as stated earlier in this thread, dust = braking. On a daily basis, the OEM pads were horrible for dusting up the rims, the Hawks did a lot less. Now when I throw my cars along the twisty roads in the mountains, where I am braking harder and driving more aggressive, the Hawks will give up a lot of dust. I have zero complaints with them on my car, and zero issues for three years running them.

Finally got a call back from Hawk. After explaining my issue he wanted pictures of the rotor and the wheel. I had cleaned the wheels the day before and there was already enough brake dust that I could run my finger and make a nice comparison. His answer back to me after seeing the pictures was "its coming from the carbon in the rotor not the pad" . He said the dust should not be that dark. There was also some black round dust spots on the wheels besides the dust itself. He also said that the "Hawk pads are a hybrid ceramic, not full like an Akebono pad". Have to call him back on Friday.

I installed Akebonos all around and I am happy
Anyone interested in buying the Hawks I had on the car ?
They are sitting in the original box all cleaned up, have around 600 miles on them. HB453Z585 Paid $110 (I have more pics here http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=434422 )

wish i'd known of the akebono's
I put on the Hawks ceramics back in 2013, and they are an improvement in dust over stock for me, they disappointed me with how much dust there is (its a light tan-ish color dust). It's not worth it at this point to change though.

The cadillac CTS or XTS had factory pads that are same as our SS calipers but the compound doesnt dust. Caution however, the pads are for street only.

Hawk HT-10 user here, street and track. Love them. Similar dust as stock, great initial bite.

i have hawks...they dust as much in the back as stock pads. Maybe even more. They squeal like a 70's school bus too,. I hate them ! I will be changing them soon since they are worn out a good amount. Don't know what what I will try next but it won't be hawks. That's all I have to say on it. My specs 800 whp, twin turbo daily driver from northeast area.
