I know the cluster is Year specific but is the Radio as well? When I purchased the Cluster it said 16-17 so I guess I got lucky, but I know the Radio I got came off a 2016.

Very possible that EVERYTHING is VIN specific. Since the seat belt reminder chime comes out of the driver’s door speaker, the IP and sound processor/amplifier are interconnected. As well as obviously the infotainment screen. So yes, all audio/video/instrumentation are interconnected.

i got the year but i have an automatic instead of a manual camaro and the 2016 cluster gauge was taken out of a manual, would that make a difference?

Im not sure to be honest. I would think that it does not matter, when I bought mine it did not say if it was Auto or Manual. Mine is Manual and it does show what gear your in.

Hey I just wanted to ask if the tachometer is accurate since the redline on my 2.0t is 7000 and on the ss, it is 6500

Bump up. Others inquiring about cluster swap. Still waiting to do the Radio Swap. Anyone attempt it yet? Cluster was easy.

Thank you!!! You are the man for doing this and an inspiration. I've wanted to try this since the day I ordered my 2017 1LT from the factory. I'l be doing this in the next 4-6 weeks. I live in Toronto and have contacted Chris White to see what it will cost for me to ship the digital cluster to him and back. Any suggestions on which cluster to get? 2LT vs SS?

Thanks again!!

1) Read this thread to understand and familiarize yourself on how to take apart the dash and Cluster http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=447174
Thanks to 6LE Designs for the write-up

2) Purchase a New or Used Cluster. I believe it must be year specific.
(Found one on ebay for $120!!)

3) Contact these guys http://www.whiteautoandmedia.com/ and provide your Vin# as well as the Part # of the Cluster. You will have to ship the Cluster in to be programmed. Cost was $349.99 plus Return Shipping $33.36 UPS 2nd day. Turnaround time was quick. Shipped Thursday 10/26, received programmed unit back on 10/31. (yours may vary).**note they are only open on weekends and there is no Number to contact them) so you must be patient!!! They delivered as promised.

My Total cost was $503.35 including Cluster (Your price may differ)I was lucky to find a Cluster Unit at a Cheap Price.

Works Great!! However, 2 Menus will not work until the 8inch Radio is installed with it.

Audio menu says "No Audio connected"
Phone menu says "No Phone Connected".
Radio and Phone does work normal on your Radio, but just can not control it via the instrument cluster (not a deal breaker). The cluster will carry all your existing information into the new cluster when its plugged in. That's it!!
Question about the backing bezel. The 1LT plastic that surrounds the smaller LCD and the two analog gauges is a different size and shape than the one on the Enhanced 2LT and SS. How did you accommodate for that? Does it just get removed and the new 8" screen fills it's place? Thanks for this great thread.

The Cluster is all 1 piece. Just remove current cluster as a whole and replace with new one.

Thank you. I realized this after I sent the message. I appreciate the reply! And you said you think it does't matter if it's a 2LT enhanced or an SS cluster?

I used a enhanced cluster from an LT (non ss). It was a euro cluster which is in km. White auto was able to program it and make the analog guage read mph. You can get a brand new one shipped for $175 on eebay right now. Only downside is that you volume controls on the steering wheel and the song skip control on steering wheel won’t work after the swap. I don’t know if thats the case if you have 8” display already. I have 7” radio display.
