We have used C5 for years on the Camaro5.com website. But I'm all ears... What should we use to abbreviate the new Camaro 6?

The trash cans don't hide the AFM farting... nothing does. You have to do away with the AFM, either via a tune or a Range Device.

Correct

C6 is a corvette From 2005-2013

C Followed by a number is pretty much the official designation of a Corvette generation.

Well I've only been on here for 3 years, but I've never seen references to C5 when speaking about the Generation 5 Camaro. For the website, yes, but not the car. Guess I've just missed it. I would think, if Gen5 or Gen6 is too hard to type... G5 or G6 would be better.

This forum also have Corvette sections. Most just say gen 6. It's not that many letters to need shortening more.

6th gen. If someone doesn't want to type 7 characters, I'm not real sure what to tell them. It matches exactly with referring to the fifth gen camaro as a 5th gen, and, from what I've come to understand, is generally how camaros are referred to. I've never seen anyone refer to a 4th gen camaro as a C4. Again, C4 is a corvette. You say 4th gen on a camaro site, people know what you're talking about. Considering that corvettes and camaros are both GM cars, the corvette does occasionally get brought up in discussions, and if you say C6 or C5, it should exclusively refer to the corvette, considering those are the actual model names of the corvette.

Hopefully the new Gen6 AFM system doesn't have the same bad exhaust sounds... Maybe a new C7 corvette owner can chime in here.

Take a look at the C7 forum about it. Most don't even notice except the v4 indicator on the gauge.
