Well I can afford a 60k car, with cash, but most people who buy 60k cars take out a loan, common knowledge, you're probably just a blithering idiot

Yeah, but I still think the comparisons will be made between similar cars regardless of how the manufacturer elected to tier the cars in their lineups.

Along with every single car in the Ford lineup. They literally all have the EXACT same grill shape.... |

I do not think Ford or Dodge need to do anything. They got to be laughing with that anemic reveal. They have colors, stripes extreme HP engines, Performance Packages. A new 600HP V6 for next year in the GT40. We have a new Blue, and tiny weeny Badges, and a new emblem!! Oh did I forget ford has the GT350R. Dodge Has the Hellcat. Did I miss anything GM took a Butter Knife, to a Gun Fight.

I think the interior on the 6th gen is a clear win in the looks category for me. Then again it would have been hard to not improve over the 5th gen interior |

Well if you say so, it must be true. I'm pretty sure you're around 16 years old, give or take a few. It's quite obvious.

Ford might give the mustang a HP bump but with that ticking time bomb transmission the mt-82 ford can't bump it up to much. I just think it's funny how nervous the mustang fan boi's are. Its like 1999 all over again. Ls1 Camaro's killing 16 and 32 valve 4.6's. I don't care how much high rpm HP the 5.0 makes, I want low rpm torque from a high cube low tech Chevy small block.

I will be interested to see if the weight savings claims bear out in real life, or if they disappoint us like Ford did to the Mustang enthusiasts.
But based on what GM has said publicly, and what they are telling members of the press, I actually think GM may be *sandbagging* a bit on the weight savings and that it will be MORE than 200lbs across the board. Comments like this one from Autoblog "Though the new car is said to be more than 200 pounds lighter, that's a blanket number that applies to the entire Camaro range. The V6 model is actually about 300 pounds lighter, and that difference is apparent in our back-to-back drives. " Article is here: http://www.autoblog.com/2015/05/17/2...e-first-drive/ If thats true, and its looking increasingly harder to discount, then we are probably looking at a 34xx V6 and maybe even a sub 3700 1SS. That is going to be a killer combo. The Camaro 6th gen weight claim seems to be the big debate amongst a couple of my Mustang pals and on their forums. One of my track buddies has a new GTPP and always talked about the "extra 300lb fat chick in the passenger seat" in my 1LE to get under my skin. But when the news broke that the new stang was heavier, and when the C&D comparison came out and their "weight as tested" showed my 1LE was 3884 and his GTPP was 3810...well he stopped bringing it up. Maybe because I weigh 150 and he weighs about 240, which makes my car lighter :-) Would love to see a 1SS with mag ride, recaros, and 6sp in the upper 3600s and a 2SS at 3700. -Dave '14 1LE |
