I'd say C7, but if you're worried about the options for the 6th gen, almost all of the ones you mentioned have been confirmed as available, including: Heated steering wheel, Heated/AC seats, MRC, On Star app with all current features, and the Performance Data recorder.

Of course the recent comparison article with the ATS-V, AMG C63 and the M4 showed the Cadillac finishing 3rd. The clear winner in every chassis attribute, but losing on engine and interior for the most part.
Cadillac needs a new interior for the ATS and soon.

I would get a ZL1, Hellcat, 2014 GT500 or GT350. I wouldn't get a loaded Camaro, but that's because I would rather pay extra for speed rather than luxuries. If you can, I would test drive all the cars you're interested in and base a decision off of that. The main thing that matters is how well you like the car.

I voted for Camaro SS ..to be more specific, with manual transmission and the 1LE option!
While I wait for this, I'm keeping a keen eye out for the upcoming BMW M2, as well as the Alpha Romeo Giulietta. Something tells me the Alpha won't be available with a manual though. :( |

I did NOT vote so as to not throw off your survey. I have a 2012 ZL1 and a 2015 Z51. I am going to wait for the 2017/18 ZL1. Having tracked both cars, the A8 Z51 Vette is prone to overheating and is not the track car that the ZL1 is. It will also interesting to see what is done with the 1LE and Z28 and how much of a track car they are without the current $75,000 (Z28) price tag.

Link? I understood ATS-V tests were still under embargo?

I would do the Corvette if you do not need 4 seats.
Obviously never driven a 6th gen but have driven a 5th Gen SS and they are not even close in comparison. I suspect the 6th gen will be closer, its the reason we're hearing looking at a convertible. 65K with or without tax? You can get supplier now on Corvette's but depending on options 65K might be tight. Mine was $64K with tax but that was pre-pre price increase. 2LT, Z51, MRC, NPP, Carbon Black wheels/trim and a few other small options. I think the same car today is near 70K without tax, but now you can do supplier. I did 3 mods to mine, ECS Super Charger, made 544 at the wheels on a conservative tune and 8 lbs of boost w/ restrictor, sound deadening kit, and a Caravaggio steering wheel....you can skip the wheel but those other 2 mods made it a seriously fun car. No tire noise, its dead quite on the interior and at about 620hp crank the car screams and even on those tiny ZP tires will hold through all the gears. I mention the sound deadening also because it makes the car nearly as quiet as an ATS. It is a great comfortable cruiser. Dead silent in tour mode with the NPP closed or in Sport/Track more of a sports car. BTW skip the museum delivery. You goto the plant, watch your car being built but then do not get it for 2 more weeks. Unless you live near there save the money. |

With a $65K budget cool your jets and wait until late 2016 to see what Gen6 1LE, Z28, or ZL1 is on the horizon.
