Just bought a 2012 vert on friday. Drove it home from dealer in columbus oh. (200 miles). I live in Austintown Ohio on a semi busy street in a decent neighbourhood with a 35mph speed limit. Well i was going 42 when i slowed to turn into my drivway. At the moment of slowing down the cop turns on his lights and i just turn into my driveway. I pull up far enough so he is off the street. He gets out of car with gun drawn and tells me to stay in my car. He is freaking out. He finaly settles down and sees im not a threat to him and ask me for my registration. I give it to him from glove box in envolpe from dealer. He goes back to his car and again tells me not to get out of my car. Which i dont. I text my g/f that i just got pulled over in my driveway. He comes back to my car and tells me to get out. I get out and he puts me in back seat. I leave my phone in my seat in camaro. He acts pissed when his dispatch tells him i have clean record. At that moment my gf pulls into my driveway and he freaks again and jumps out of car and radio's backup and draws gun on her. I tell him that its just my gf and he screams at her to stay in car. He gets back into car and tells me hes having my car towed!!!! Because i endangerd him buy pulling into my driveway. I am now on way to court to get my car back and plead not guilty on speeding ticket. Way a Freaking ahole!!!! ill let eveyone know what happens.

WTF another victim of the over zelous pd. He was just hatin dude. It will get thrown out hopefully.

Typically cops don't draw a weapon for someone going 7 MPH over the speed limit nor do they tow a vehicle out of the property where you live without a damn good reason. I sense that we're not getting the whole story here.

For aiming a loaded pistol at you when you were no threat. Police officers shouldn't be touching their gun unless they have reason to.

Story could well be true, not all that suprised. Have seen my fair share of BS from cops. Not bashing anyone, just have seen over zealous ones and awesome ones. You just got a bad cop on a trip...

Reality check? Happens a lot, just search it on youtube... there's been plenty.

I'll remember to avoid Canfield on my way home on leave next time... don't need that when I'm just trying to go home to see family.

Agreed. But I find it hard to believe that "if" he actually drew his weapon it was based on the OP going 7 mph over the speed limit. Sorry, but there is a something missing in this story.
