Depends on what you mean by better lol. The "performance" exhaust is an LPO where as the NPP is an RPO (factory installed ONLY). If you already have the NPP, you get the RPO one, it removes the entire NPP system and you will NOT get the variable sound with it.

It was announced @ 2015 SEMA show. And AO himself told me that their accessories team is working on it on Nov 7th.

It will come with a tune. It isn't a rumor actually, Chevy announced it @ SEMA.

edit: Here is 1 video that just talks about it. I am trying to find the other video where the guy explicitly said intake will come with a tune as well.

edit 2: Here you go... found it. Skip to 1:01 and wait for him to say "engine calibration that COMES WITH IT".

I hadn't planned on going mod crazy on this car like I did with my last, but I would be down for some GM backed upgrades like intake and lowering springs for the MRC.

If it did come with a tune, Chevy would own the CAI market. I was told that Chevy is "conservative" and that was false. Please post source if you find otherwise

Which is what exactly their goal is. Lowering springs from factory? intake, an extra non-npp performance axle back? Trust me, they got their eye on the aftermarket companies.

And don't worry. I am checking the intake's availability DAILY. It will be ordered THE second it is available. So... I will personally will confirm that it does or does not come with a tune

Considering going from a crappy klenex panel filter and more direct inlet. There for sure will be an HP increase and on top of that a tune. Now, how much? No clue. I wouldn't expect anything above 15hp/tq

Well, it's "Early 2016" right now...where the hell are the parts?

Also, why is there reflective material INSIDE the intake? Shouldn't the reflective surface be outside to reflect heat?

Good call. I will actually have a new baseline dyno done before and after this. Local place with much better gas in the tank. So I will be able to say exactly how much hp/tq we will be looking at before and after.

"Early 2016" = First quarter. Which we still have next month for and that was the initial info I have gotten. Release date of March. Can't tell you if it's early March or Late March as either way that would still fall under the "First Quarter".

The reflective surface could've been covered for cosmetic purposes. It is an insulator for the cone filter from the outside so either inside or outside doesn't matter. I can tell you that I will be painting that damn thing black the second I get it lol.

Be careful stating this as fact. Becky was quite confident that it will not come with a tune. Do you have anything from Chevy saying it does?

Trust me, I want I to be true but it does not appear to be.
