Should have bought MGW in the first place.

If anybody ever seen my build journal, you would see that i was so happy to install my Hurst shifter when i first got it back in December of 2015. I thought the shift quality was 10x better than stock, and it was great up until 4 months in. The side to side play got so bad i was missing shifts. I replaced the teflon bushings with the pit pack and it was solid for another month or so. Then the side to side play came back. I got the car on stands to inspect the whole assembly to find out that the bearing that supports the shifter was the reason for the side to side play. Luckily Hurst is a great company and helped me through the process to troubleshoot. Then they told me i should just buy a different shifter or go back to stock because odds are that it will happen again. So i was working with them and Phastek to get a refund and thats when i decided to order the MGW. Just installed it last night and it honestly makes me regret buying the Hurst in the first place. Although Hurst is a great company the MGW just feels better. I also love the fact that it replaces the whole assembly and not just the shifter. My shifts feel smoother than ever no more notchyness like i had with the hurst. Sorry for the long rant its just some of my thoughts.

MGW looks nice, but my Hurst was such a pain to install I wouldn't take it out even if it was acting up on me. I've had good luck out of mine I guess, I just need a heavier shifter knob because the stock plastic one doesn't give you any weight to throw around when banging gears.

Yup, I read a lot here before purchasing and figured I'd spend the extra to get the full blown MGW, and I haven't regretted it at all!

I got my MGW in the first run of 25 that they made and it is still going strong to this day. There the best.

What do you do to your shifter to destroy them that fast? I ran a Hurst in my 2010 for 4 years and it was as tight the day I sold it as it was the day I installed it.
I put the upgraded bushing kit on the Hurst I installed in my 2015. 9 months so far and it's as tight as ever.
Are you shifting with a sledge hammer?
