What is your cutoff price / plan B?
With all this waiting for pricing on the 1LE, it got me to thinking. What is the most I would pay for the package, before going to plan B?
I know the 1LE (in the SS) package is pretty extensive, but it still has to be competitively priced. Al O did say something to the effect "If you could afford the last 1LE, you can afford this one". So, with the last one being $3500, that tells me this one should be around $5000 or less, or that statement is somewhat invalid. That would make the car base for about $43,000 which is a fair price. I think my cutoff will be $45,000 ($7000 package price), if it is anymore than that, I will buy a 1SS and build it the way I would want to over time. |

I'm aiming to pay up to $44k total (hoping for under $42k) with all the taxes, fees, etc. Let's see what kind of incentives we can get.

I would be closer to the $43k than the $45 mark. If you live on the one of the coasts though the $45k may be the same as the $43k number.

If it starts pushing close to $50k, I won't bother. I'm thinking it will be under $45k.

$42K out the door? I like the way you think, but that has about a zero chance of happening I think. Remember a 2017 1SS with no extra options is going to be nearly $38K...

Not sure how they will price it exactly since there is no 2SS trim like on the Gen5 but for what it is worth my 2013 2SS 1LE with NPP, NAV and Sunroof had an MSRP of 43k. With NPP and MRC standard plus the HUD, 6 piston brakes, wheels tires, e-diff, etc. being standard on the new 1LE I am guessing 43-45k.

We are all in different situations but I have to pay 9% sales tax on the purchase. If I can't get it for $44k or less then I have to pass. Maybe pass on the whole thing. If I can't get what I want then it will be hard for me to 'settle' for something else.
I've always been that way. When I was a kid I passed on 1 scoop of ice cream because I wanted 2. |

I'm expecting the 1LE to come in at $45,000. If it's more than that, I will most likely go with a Stingray (2LT). Obviously the Stingray will be several thousand dollars more, but if the gap is less than $10,000 I tell myself I will choose the C7.

I went with Plan B already since we've got no new info forever. Got the SS Sedan and wait for the 2018 1LE and hope for a 2SS. If no 2SS exists, I'll still get the 1LE. Price cutoff for me is probably around $46k. Any higher and I'll just go 2SS.

Anything above $46K with PDR/Nav is my resistance point.
Plan B? In this case, I don't have one until I need one. |
