Fugly Hybrids Restyled.

Lets face it, hybrids are pretty fugly..There's a few nice ones but you're not going to be buying them for the best MPG.

The budget goes from sky high to average consumer family car ranges.
Europe has a few now
The:
Audi Q5h
BMW with their:
F10-5 Series
Hybrid 7
X5h/X6h

While Mercedes almost has their whole array in Hybrids or plans to..
And their cheapest S-Class W221 is a hybrid.

GM has few as well the Volt that came out but its a plug-in...
And besides the malibu they don't have standard systems. The trucks are there but its a very nominal mpg increase.

Ford has a few including the Fusion and Escape..The Fusion is likely the best looking domestic hybrid sedan out of the box.

Hiroshima has their few, Civic's ,Camry's ; Several Lexii as well..

But, lets all face it.
For a cross-over the RX400h gets the best mileage..Then for non plug-in dependent models
The Prius and Insight lead the back. (but they're not the best looking)..

(One I helped build for SEMA 07)

For the Prius II:
There's this one which I like much more [Aimgain]

The newer Prius (3rd gen) Doesn't require much to make it look better (Wheels+ drop)?

Aimgain made another classy kit for it but I'd not rock it as a Lexus...

Zeus has a few pieces for the the Insight

...

While ings has their kit too..
I like the Ings+1 quality, as they hand lay each kit; Fitment is also generally on.
(The grille area could use some rework, the lip would look better if it was molded on.

Wagonist Japan has one...Very likely and Arm and Leg in price.

There's also the HS250; which is much larger than a prius, most people compare it direct to one but it shares nothing in common other than both are I4's and both are standard drive hybrids.

And another one:

Myself, personally, I like the CT200h, same drivetraine as the prius but much better visually.

But of couse I'd run off with a LS600h or GS450h.

I am sorry, but thre is no help for those cars. And I keep thinking "grade a turd polish" when i see those pictures. Also the Insights MPG is not that impressive and I would guess the Escape Hybrid gets considerably beter gas mileage than the Lexus "thing".

They look ... different but I wouldn't say they're any better. Adding wheels and a GFX kit doesn't change the fact that the egg shaped profile is unappealing. Nor does it change the fact that these cars are almost completely void of any character/body lines along the side. The cars look bad, no matter what you stick on them.

And personally, I despise 'ricer mods'. Ones that are 'race inspired' (such as a GFX kit or very low profile tires) being put on a car that doesn't have any hope of utilizing the supposed performance benefit of those parts. Not that it matters because none of the stuff is designed to help anyway, just 'look cool'

Like they say. You can bolt a wing to a Civic but it's still a Civic. The same rule applies.

Whoa there... If the Prius isn't race-capable. Then explain to me why I just bought one on GT 5.
