where to buy new halos
I own a 2011 RS. I love my current halos but they are just not bright enough.
Does anyone offer the headlight set for the RS model with brighter LEDs? I dont want to baked my headlights either. Is there a place where i can buy a new set of RS headlights already equipped with the brighter LEDs? im sure this has been asked before but thanks! would something like these even be worth it over the stock RS lights? |

Not if they are CCFL.
Our halos are about the same as stock. We also handle Nightowl, which is brighter. No baking. |

The NightOwl kit involves removing the ballast (held by three screws) and the access cap (1/4 turn). Real easy to get in. Then you can get the inside screws to release the LED under the ring directly except for one that requires use of a swivel. The kit comes with an excellent video showing how to do it. No baking!

^interested in this as well, in terms of brightness. install seems quite easy from the above directions, and the stock halos could definitely be brighter

This is due to a change in the headlight design. The 2010-2013 halos were lit by one LED mounted at the base of the halo ring. The 2014 halos are lit by six (IIRC) LEDs mounted behind the halo ring. So instead of using the ring to refract the light, the ring is being used to diffuse the individual LEDs.

It's brighter, but, it's not as nice looking. I wish GM stuck with the light-pipe design like some other manufacturers have.
