The A10 doesn't fit the C7 platform or they would of been in the Z06 already.

Just seems odd that the Camaro won't fit the M7 and the Corvette won't fit the A10. I guess they get narrow at different spots?
The Camaro will definitely have the A10 in the SS in 2019. Chevy never lets the mustang get ahead

Not going to change platforms in a refresh. Expect for Camaro to get it a few years after the Caddy comes out.

Yep. I can see it now. GM didn't give a single shit that the 11-15 mustangs were faster. They kept that god awful 400hp L99 in the autos and never bumped up power at all. This will be 14-15 all over again. New front fascia, new rear bumper and tail lights, and that will be it. No power bump, no A10. Then just to make it worse, they will add a 7 speed manual to a car that has zero problems with its current manual. All while the A8 is the transmission that needs help and a major tuning update. Im sure they will offer a lower end V8 model to help sales but I just don't think it will be enough. No power change, no A10, NO more Camaros for me. Guess ill go test drive one of those catfish looking cars..lol j/k

I thought it was known that the M7 won’t fit the trans tunnel of the Camaro? Unless they reengineer the body which I don’t see happening.

Report: Camaro Getting the Corvette’s Seven-Speed Manual for 2019

Quote:
JANUARY 19, 2018 AT 11:17 AM

Chevy wouldn’t confirm any of this information, so we’ll likely have to wait a bit until 2019 Camaro information becomes public to see if this new transmission choice is more than just speculation.

March 30th is 10 weeks from today.

New York International Auto Show

Should ALL be clear then.

Some have reported that there is an LT2 6.2L V-8 engine in the works rated at 485BHP and 470ft-lbs of torque. This would be no issue at all for the Gen V and would fit well considering that the Mustang GT is rated at 460BHP and the bullitt Mustang is said to produce at least 475BHP this would keep the Camaro SS 25BHP over the standard GT and 10BHP over the Bullitt (and 50ft-lbs over both).

From that stand point it makes sense and I can see, however there is a lack of evidence that such an engine exist somewhere in GM. For that reason it is something that I would want to believe however will just at this point wish it is true.

I wouldn't put too much stock in the ARB report they took this from anyway. For the 2018 Mustang, they list an M6 and a "SA9" (semi-automatic, their nomenclature for DCT).

ZR1 motor with M7 manual in a Camaro ZL1 uber track edition car...
They wouldn’t put a highway oriented transmission with 2 overdrives in a track vehicle. This is why the ZL1 1LE has special track oriented gearing in its 6th gear versus an overdrive gear in all other m6 applications.

A DCT would be listed as AM or AMS for automated manual. But yes, the Ford certifications incorrectly list a 9 speed instead of 10 speed.

You'd think. The Ford GT DCT is listed as an SA7. Seems to be pretty inconsistent, at least when it comes to American cars.
