1le Tire/Fender Gap
I remember the discussion concerning this issue on the pre-production 1le
shown in Chicago. Does anyone know if production 1le's have reduced the gap between tire and fender? |

This vid from FNxREDNECK confirms your opinion. IMO the gap is about perfect.

This is funny. The 1LE is perfect...Hahaha.
The gap is less on the 1SS and everyone calls it a 4x4,

It's like everyone wants the 1LE to look like the Tuner Stance modders. They look good to me.

Not I. I still will want mine a little bit lower...but it is wayyyyyy better. Remember the SS has taller tires too...so ground to chassis height will be higher.

Looks like they fiddled with the offset and/or front track. The black show car had obvious front wheel poke. This production blue one seems more flush, which I prefer. Any more front shots from a more frontal angle to confirm this?

I feel like part of the problem has been the lower profile tires (30mm side wall vs. 35mm on SS). I think when we saw the black show car at Chicago it didn't have the 1LE spring rates as it was basically an SS with the 1LE appearance parts. The blue one from MT was a true 1LE!

305/30ZR20 which means the tread width is 305mm, the second set of numbers is the aspect ratio or percentage (not a measurement in mm) so this tires sidewall height is 30% of it's width (305mm * .30= 91.5mm) so the sidewall is 91.5mm, the letters are the speed rating and 20 is the rim diameter in inches. If it's still confusing there are some decent explanations online with pictures to better show this relationship. so for comparison 2017; 1LE has 285/30zr20 fronts =85.5mm sidewall SS has 245/40zr20 fronts= 98mm sidewall 1LE has 305/30zr20 rears=91.5mm sidewall SS has 275/35zr20 rears= 96.25mm sidewall so yes your point remains valid, the SS has more sidewall front and rear than the 1LE, 12.5mm more front and 4.75mm more rear

The way these pictures are rotated made it look like the Camaro was doing a barrel roll

That car is not a production car...it is the black show car mentioned above. Basically just a '16 SS with some 1LE parts tossed on...you can see that it even seems to have a little more gap than the production ready blue one. Also, the blue car seems to have a more flush wheel.
