The new taillights are HORRIBLE!!! I agree with everyone who says import. That was my first thought and I can't get it out of my head. So happy to have my '12

Man, there sure is a lot of arguing over tail lights going on here. Some will like them, some won't, that's nothing new. I didn't like the 4th Gen when I first saw them either but guess what, it grew on me and I've driven my 93 Z28 for the last 20 years. I've owned one of every generation except the 3rd, and my mom had that one. I've liked and disliked features on them all and it's always gonna be that way.

the first thing when i saw the new SS tail lights i remembered Dodge Charger.
in Z28 tail lights well, comparing to SS tail light i would choose the Z28 honestly . but comparing 2013 models to 2014 models, i would surly choose 2013 models. |

The Concept Camaro pictures in this thread look fine. The refresh looks nothing like the Concept Camaro. The new taillights aren't as unique and don't look as good as the 2010-2013. And most importantly for me, that new diffuser running halfway up the back of the car and bifurcating the license plate area looks bad.
The changes to the front of the car are significant large too. However, you aren't seeing alot of negative comments. Alot of people like the new front better. Some don't like it, but there isn't widespread criticism. Some people are calling anyone who doesn't like the rear refresh a "Hater" and saying "Haters gonna hate." Why don't people "hate" the front? Maybe it isn't that people are "haters." Maybe Chevy must messed up with the rear redesign and it doesn't appeal to alot of people. I just hope Chevy learns from their mistake and doesn't screw up the 6th Gen. |

Don't know if this was mentioned earlier. did anyone read Fbodfather's post from yesterday? And I quote:
"The tail-lamps are a tribute to the 1969 Camaro. (go study the 1969 Camaro tail-lamps -- both RS and Non-RS and you’ll start to appreciate why we did what we did.)" End of story. No?

I like the new lights. Only time I will see them is when I am behind a '14^ Camaro because I am keeping my 2010 Camaro w/1992 Corvette looking taillights.

I remember those comments back in 2006 when people saw the Concept. It's was why couldn't they designed some 1st gen style lights instead if Corvette styled lights. I remember I defended them then too.

I like the new ass of the C6. I know they say its a throw back to the 69, but the rear wrap around light reminds me of my 1978. I like the accent nods they put into it. To me it shows they are really refining the details. Love or hate their choices at least they are not purely random for sake of change.

How many people on here that are complaining about the redesign owned a 4th gen camaro? I don't put a lot of stock into your opinion on appearance if you did. The trans am was way cooler in those years.
I like the new design of the tail lights. I'm still on the fence about how high and wide they decided to do the real valence. It reminds me of what ford did to the 2010 mustang. |
