Honestly I don’t think the Market is going to drop like a rock, it’ll be slow is my bet. Last Thursday I looked at a 2019 Camaro 2SS w/ 20k miles and the price was $42,000 and I when I had initially looked there were a lot of $43,000-$46,000. This week I’m seeing $45,000-$49,000. One dealer upped their price on a 2019 Camaro 2SS w/ 16k miles from $46,500 to $49,500. It’s a crazy market getting crazier.

Will anyone be dumb enough to buy it?

When I was looking last year I would keep an eye on used prices. Like there was this used 2017 Mustang GT I saw at a local Ford dealer. One week it was $26,900, then they upped the price to $30,000 then the following week down to $28,000. I almost looked at it but went with the Camaro SS. If I looked at it I would have had the old listing with me lol if they wouldn't balk at me negotiating. They were in no hurry to sell it. It sat there for months lol.

Dealer in my region has a 2018 2SS ragtop listed for $42,000 36k miles.

So how long did it take start to finish with this Vroom deal?? I'm thinking about selling my truck and driving a beater until something happens with the Camaro I ordered.

I was perusing a local dealership and found a 2018 1SS1LE on the lot, got home and got on their website and found it, asking 40K for it. If anyone is interested I will give the dealer info.

Crazy bubble for sure but the car is worth whatever someone will pay for it. When supply is down dealers can afford to sit tight on their inventory and make top dollar because they know they know it will be difficult to get allocations and or good pricing on used inventory. As supply slowly returns, indeed folks will take a bath on cars they are buying now. Same on houses, lumber, cement, etc. Good lesson in economics.

Are insurers paying these kind of values for cars that are a loss? I bet it takes a fight. I'd hate to be thrust into this market, needing a car right now.

The KBB for my car was almost 36k last sept. Probably almost 40k now.

Most of the Camaros I see that are priced fair are a bit more miles. Like 30 to 55k miles. Not a lot of low mile ones like mine right now.

You know, if something were to happen to mine I would likely buy like a 2007 Corvette under 35k miles. I would then cam it and possibly super charger it.

I would have a Vette AND a car faster than a stock SS

I would not replace it with a SS right now with these prices. I would buy a much cheaper early model C6 and super charge. Or hell even a later model c5 like 2003 for dirt cheap.

Of course finding a Mustang, even a left over new 2020 Mustang GT is possible at decent prices still. I would much rather get a C6 or late C5 though.

I paid $30,500 for my car in May of last year....it had 14k miles. Sold it this past weekend w/22k miles for $41,500. Could have sold it 5 times over. This market is insane. Never had a car pay me to drive it before lol. Sitting on the money til it comes back to reality and looking for an F-type R.

Used car prices are up, However how are you guys getting these high offers when I go on auto trader around me and the dealers are still selling them lower than what you guys are getting for them.

I'm talking the normal car dealers. Their prices are generally lower than what Vroom is buying them from you for.

I just completed the whole process with Vroom. I accepted their highest offer, which was $1000 more than I paid for my Camaro new in 2017, on the 10th. I received a prepaid return Fedex envelope on the 12th. I signed a statement of facts regarding the year, make and model of my car, VIN, and mileage. I also signed my title and sent it in the envelope, as instructed. My car was assigned for pick up, after verification of the documents, on the 14th. I was contacted a day or two after, and I scheduled pickup for the 19th. Pick up driver was great. He talked about how clean my car was, how low the miles were, etc. I told him I was going to videotape the whole loading process. He said he would do the same thing in my position. He looked over the car, filled out a flawless report, and we both digitally signed the bill of lading. He emailed a copy right to me, while I stood with him, then he made sure I received it. I then emailed the driver’s report and bill of lading to Vroom, as instructed. I received my check on the 22nd. It has already cleared, and now I’m eagerly awaiting my search for a new 6M 2SS, once they start being made, and prices are a bit more normal.
