I've been debating getting one of these myself. I wish I could drive with one before deciding to purchase LOL. I'll admit, it does make the engine bay look much nicer!

Yea the engineers are not leaving much on the table any more. Any CAI that give you any noticeable power upgrade Will require a tune. The best of the stockish CAIs is the Rotofab dry at a proven 3-5 RWHP. Slapping on a CAI made a differenc with the 5th gens. I added a CAI, Scoop, with slkightly better tan stock tires and picked up 1/4 a second. You can feel that. But they all look and sound better than the fugly stock CAI.

Nothing wrong with appearance and sound mods. Making the car look and feel exactly how you want it is part of the fun. Not everything has to improve hp or quarter mile times to be legit.
After all, they still let buyers pick from quite a few paint options, even though everyone knows Shadow Gray is the fastest color! |

I spent over 40k for the car, over 100 for floor mats, 200 for splash guards, 300 for windscrean, 20 for plate cover, 80 for a plaque, 900 for tires and 400 for an intake and reflash.
I know exactly what i am getting into and why

At least he is being honest. As mentioned, there is the "10%" rule of thumb. If you claim you can feel a change in acceleration with 15 WHP gain on a ~400 WHP car, it's placebo.
Now if it's a 15 WHP gain on a 100 WHP car, then you will feel a change.
