Okay gears and stall . I wanna get my parts from ted since he will be tuning it for free if I get it from him. I see he has ligenfelter 3.70 gears on his site . Are those good ? Also he as the stall as well . How much do each cost to install if anyone knows?

I would look into the circle d 4c converter, it will get you high 11s for sure if not a little quicker in good air. You will need the trans tuned for it. And will prob end up around the 1k mark.

Do you already have Drag Radials?

If not, that is next.

I light weight Drag race wheel and tire package can be worth several tenths improvement in ET.

After that converter and gearing will be your next best investment for ET.

But without the the right tires can make you go slower due to lack of traction.

The LPE 3.70 gears are made by the same company that make the GM OEM gears

The GM 3.91 gears are around half the price, once you add in the install kit for the 3.70's. Also, shop around. GM 3.91 gears can be had cheap. Install price will depend on who's doing it. All shops are different and charge different prices. I would imagine book time to be around 5-6 hrs. If you estimate $75-100/hr, you're looking at somewhere in the $400-600 range.

A good stall can greatly affect your drag times. None of this will do any good if you're not getting good traction. That means you'll need a sticky tire.

Yes because as you increase power you overwhelm the tires ability to stick to the road and apply the power.

When you break traction your ET will Suffer Greatly.

The Recipe to low ET is:

Power
Traction
Practice
Practice
Practice
Repeat

Ted.
