looking for more hp.
Ok so the car is out of bolt ons. I made 444rwhp and 425rwtq .
Mods include. . lpe gt1 cam on stock valvetrain Ud pulley Tsp 2 inch headers dynomax race bullet catback cold air inductions cai with scoop and bottle relocate All rear bushings Toe rods Trailing arms. im finishing up the Yukon 4.11s tonight. And hurst sts with track pack bushing. Ok. Next is weld rts wheels and drag radials. Followed by some nitrous. I need more n/a hp badly. The car feels like a dog. Im hoping. The gears will help some. So what does everyone think of swapping to the g6x3 cam? |

Gears are going to make it feel like a whole new animal. Have you run the car yet? If so, what are your times?

You don't mention a tune. Surely you tuned with that many mods? How about a VMax TB? That's an easy 10 rwhp

Swapping the cam seems like a waste. Have you considered ported or aftermarket heads along with a ported intake manifold? That will give you a good boost. Round it out nicely with a V-Max TB and you'll be crapping gold!!

I got the G6X3 cam but can finish the install till next month when I get back home. Then I will be able to compare it to the previous cam which was 227/231, 114. I never got that one on the track for a trap time but it was at 450 rwhp on Dynojet. I expect a little bump in power with the LG cam and a different tuner this time.

That won't add any hp, all it does increase your throttle response.

The ls tuner @ips told me not to waste my money on it. That its just a placebo effect! Ill take his work for it since he tuned the fastest ls powered cars on the planet!
And over full bolt ons the cam gained 30 rwhp from 4500 up over stock with no loss down low so for the $400 for the cam and an afternoons labor id say I didnt do too bad |
