You should get tuned before you install the headers. Whoever tunes your car, tell them to base it off of a previously tuned headers camaro. DO NOT COPY AND PASTE their tune, make sure they only look at the numbers for reference and the things that were disabled. Every car is different and should be tuned according to how YOUR car runs.

it's stainless works long tube headers. car will be in garage for another 2 months before I even start driving it again, most I would do is start it up. was wondering if I installed them in the garage and then two months later take it out and get it tuned if it'd be alright. thanks for all the help, gonna give it a try.

How do you tune for a mod before it's installed ?

Install the headers get a tune.

I can't believe you guys are putting thousands of miles on your cars before CEL. Mine was 25 miles in, same day as install.

Remember, the tune is not just to eliminate the CEL. You'll take full advantage of your mods and feel a bigger difference with the auto tranny tune in your case.
