Cosmetically speaking, to me its a ruined 5th gen. I just can't get into the look... maybe a ZL1 version or a Z28 version in a few years... but definitely not now. I may just wait until the 7th Gen before I get another Camaro... but if sales continue to slump, they might discontinue the line again altogether...
Motor, weight, suspension are good tho. But the exterior doesn't do it for me... |

For me, the 6th gen doesn't look ENOUGH like the 5th gen.
If the 6th had looked more like the 5th, I would have bought a 6th instead of a 5th.

The 6th Gen Camaro has a HUGE change versus the 5th Gen - the price. $50,000 for a Camaro with leather interior. LAUGH.

There could be a number of reasons for the sales slump:
• A lot of people don't like the new look just because it's different. It might take time to catch on. • Chevy made a pretty good effort to sell off the last of the 5th Gens. A lot of those buyers might have bought a 2016 if the '15s' hadn't been 20% off for so long. • The convertibles aren't out yet. I'm sure there are some buyers that are holding out for those. • Even though the engines have more kick, the lower cylinder count could be making people shy away.

Well for me...the value just isn't there.
I can get a lightly used 2014/2015 2SS, custom Katzkin leather seats with heating AND cooling, Alcantara interior panels, Z/28 suspension and aero, 1LE replica wheels and tires, intake, exhaust and tune.and still be under the cost of a 2016 2SS NPP car that dealers are asking for in the area. It may not be the newest thing, but it'll be mine, and it'll be customized for me and my tastes. I am more comfortable in a 5th Gen, I can see out of it better and frankly..I think they look better. That and given the nastiness in the 6th Generation community..I think I enjoy the Generation 5 community more

The 5th Gen still dominates the 6th Gen due to it's over whelming popularity...

If the numbers were broken down regionally we would know if it is because of winter or lack of interest.

It seems GM themselves are lackluster about its release I don't see any mention of it or it being advertised in my neck of the woods.

For some reason GM/Chevy has not really advertised or pushed these cars at all. Maybe once the weather breaks they will do an ad campaign and it will get sales moving.

I may be wrong, but if it were due to winter then all car sales would be low.... Only Camaro ads I have been seeing is the one for 0% for 72 months with the Z28 running around the track. That has been playing over and over and over on TV lately.

I think GM just got a bit arrogant in their mindset of the 6th Generation. They never really did ads for the Generation 5's, so maybe they figured "Hey..we won't need to do advertisements for the new car either"
Supposedly they listened to the Camaro community extensively during the design process, and it shows in the Generation 6. However, those 5th Generation owners perhaps cannot, or do not want to, upgrade so the 6th Generation.
