Rock chip + cold weather = FML
Got a rock chip and was planning on having safelite repair it after the holidays...but didnt make it
That white streak toward the bottom of the windshield isnt a glare

I called them and they dont have a glass replacement policy, $1000 deductible.. safelite quoted me $649 to replace

I got a rock chip in mine a few weeks after I bought the car but safelight was able to repair it.

Yea, got to get them fix or it will do that. Lesson learned right.
 Can't believe your insurance company doesn't offer windshield replacement. Mine is only a couple bucks more. I had to replace two windshields already (not my camaro) with a $50 deductible. More than paid for itself many times over.

Before you call a national company, give a local shop a chance to quote it. Support your local companies where the money stays in your community. :-)

Many times lowering the comprehensive deductible doesn't cost much more.
When you look to change, check it out. You already called them, but I have heard of dishonest people calling the company, changing their deductible, then waiting a couple of weeks and filing the claim... very dishonest.
