Hey guys so I was pulled over for my exhaust being to loud but I have the factory dual mode exhaust? I told him its straight from the factory but he didn't believe me! Anyone else had this before?? Now I gotta go thro the damn hassle to get it checked 😀🔫

Now that's funny right there. Reminds me of when one of my buddies who owns a ford raptor truck got pulled over for the three orange lights above the grill. The cop said they were illegal, even though the car came that way from the factory.

Sometimes people are so clueless.

Did he do the decibel test?

LOL while I was reading that paragraph, I instantly thought "this guys gotta be from California". XD I'm sorry but you guys really do got it rough out there. I'm terrified to take my 1LE with sw retro chambers exhaust to Dublin when I want to visit family. Chp is a nightmare.

Lol....thought the same thing when I started reading. Move to Texas....here you rev the engine when you roll by a cop, and they give you the "thumbs up".

Reminds me of when a guy got pulled over for having his wing block the rear view mirror and he was driving a WRX Sti and it was the factory wing on the trunk lid.

OP, Let me guess, the cop was driving a Prius! So you have no mods at all on the exhaust? The NPP sounds perfect to me, no way is it to loud. Maybe his hearing aids were turned all the way up! So many motorcycles, trucks, etc. around here that are way louder than me. I'll never step foot in that over regulated/ass backward state! Reminds me of Horton hears a Who/NPP after a fuse pull!

Reminds me when I had an SRT-4, everyone on the forums was getting pulled left and right because Dodge built the car without a muffler since they considered the turbo the muffler so you were legal but the cops were still writing tickets left and right for no muffler.

IMO the only thing that makes Cali different, is they enforce their laws. For example in the state of Florida, it is illegal to have any exhaust on a vehicle other than OEM. Needless to say it is one of those laws, that is not enforced but give them a reason to stop you if they pleased.
