The article states:
"enabled the size and mass of elements such as the wheels, tires and brakes to be scaled accordingly" Does that mean the SS will have 19" wheels? I wouldn't mind, as it reduces unsprung mass. I like the wheels a bit better than the 5th gen. |

I wonder if the other style of wheel we have seen on the prototypes will be available too? I kind of like them better. The ones revealed today remind me of the silver ZL1 wheels on the Gen 5.

I think the wheels are great.
Simple and clean, the way they should be. I also like that they're not shiny or black. Hope they fit on a 5th gen.

To me, the wheels in your example pictures are just "OK". Probably wouldn't take any of them over the wheels shown. Actually I think a 5 "star" wheel wouldn't look good on this car but again...that's just my opinion. I guess as GM reveals more and more about this car, we can expect to see lots of these kind of responses pouring in.

I agree the wheels look great. I'm not suprised no more info was released. The are not gonna realease info about braking or tire wheel sizes just because they showed us the brake caliper and rotor and a wheel. Just building us up to the release. Even then we still won't know much info to later after the reveal.

Wheels look bad imo. Looks like they belong on an suv.

Even in 3000x2002 resolution on a 46" screen I couldn't find a tire size, just that they're F1s. I imagine they're the size same that was seen on the prototype the other day.

That's why there is the aftermarket, you don't like the wheels? Buy new ones.

Question is what material are the wheels made of? Magnesium, forged or regular alloy?
Size looks like a 20" to me... Was hoping for 18" or 19"

I love those wheels...I hope they are the SS wheels and not for the ZL1 or Z/28.
I remember those from the spy shots, glad they are really offering them ! It's nice to have some sharp wheels from the factory and not have to change them out immediately....I remember the ones on my early to mid 90's Trans Ams were pretty plain and I changed them pretty quick.
