More than just the SS?

Do you think Chevy will have more than just the SS at the reveal?

I think they're gonna come out swinging and have at least one performance package at the unveil, especially with all the track testing we've been seeing. Maybe a 1LE or the sixth gen equivalent.

It's been less than a day and all I can think about is the reveal. Hurry up

I'm guessing launch will just be the I4, V6 and base V8 coupes. Any more than that will be too much for the first year.

I agree. They need to come out with new models every year or two to keep the public interested.

It looked like the reveal is later in the evening. They may just have one car on hand for the event.

I agree that they need a slow roll out of cars, but maybe just have something like a track pack like the mustang has, not necessarily a full blown 1LE. Something just as a teaser of what else is to come.

On the flip side there are people waiting for the big dog that don't want to wait around for 3 years, and will buy competitors cars. Hellcat is hot right now, mustang 350(R) is right around the corner and Gm is going to hold its performance for a year or two? I know there bread and butter is the ss because of the cost but they need something to hold the name up. I don't see too many mags giving cover time to wopping 425hp camaro for long.

If you watch the ring videos one of the cars is sporting a front splitter different from the other cars. I would bet a 1LE is offered pretty quick. And possibly a ZL1 powered by the LT4. Although I think the LT4 car could be held back for 6-12 months.

I lean more on this side. as far as staggered releases to keep interest...I would say the vast majority don'the care beyond the SS just from a cost perspective, I don't see GM doing it for this reason...perhaps there are others, like ZL1 simply isn't ready.

But I'm purely guessing...I have no experience marketing cars.

I'm sure its going to be the same 12 month delay like the vettes have been subjected to with the last 2 Z06's. GM figures enough people will jump on an SS because of the newness then some will jump up to performance model a year later and its a win win for GM. I cant imagine GM strectching it out like the last Camaro Generation. And i think there will be a 1le Varient and the high Hp model. They dont have an NA motor for another Z/28. I guess will see what they will call it.

Z51 package came pretty quick for the c7, why not 1LE ? The Mustang also came with the performance package available right away. I think we will see a performance package available right away, be it 1LE or something similar.

Agreed. ZL1 or Z/28 not likely for at least a year. We might get a reveal on one of those by the time the 6th gen starts hitting dealer lots.

There have been no Nurburgring videos of gen6 car with a supercharger whine that I'm aware of so a ZL1 is a ways out
