Is Gas Guzzler Tax Included In The Base Price For 2017 ZL1?
A member on this forum had an interesting question on another thread. He was asking about the gas guzzler tax and if its included in the base price for the 2017 ZL1......His question did not get answered so I thought I would create a separate thread about it.....
I always thought the Gas Guzzler was on top of the base price. Meaning $62,135 for base price (including destination) PLUS the additional $1300 gas guzzler (manual), so we would stand at $63,435 without any options added in yet. Another member on this forum who is getting his getting his new 2017 ZL1 manual in the next few days, (if not today) posted his window sticker yesterday and lists the $1300 gas guzzler tax in the lower left corner, BUT its not added in the total price anywhere...So, it must be included in the base price without options.... What are your thoughts..................

I doubt it is included in the sticker price, it will probably get added to the final cost...although it is a little deceiving if that is the case.

My memory is it is on the Window Sticker and is included in the MSRP but I do not have a WS for a vehicle w/ the GG to double check.

Also, * says it excludes DFC but *** says it includes DFC so they're conflicting. This footer is also present on the Z06 Overview as well. On the Corvette Z06 configurator, it does list out a Gas Guzzler Tax on Summary once you check the Automatic option. I would expect ZL1 to do the same. |

For the OP, it looks like the GG tax is added into the options. so technically you will be taxed on a tax. Which is BS if you ask me.
