NAPA Battery?? Help on what battery replacement is best!
Hey guys my car needs a new battery and wanted your opinion on what is the best brand. Already went through a lot of threads and opinions are very different. Here is are my options I came down to.
ACDelco $208 Interstate $209 NAPA $189 Super Star Extreme (Oreilly) $181 Dont really have time to order online so if anyone has any input on the NAPA brand and the Super Star from Oreilly i would appreciate it. |

Get a red top Optima and be done with it.

I wouldn't, especially since optima's reputation and QC has gone down the tubes in their more recent years.
OP: I went with an interstate megatron plus, and it's been rock solid for a year so far. That's my recommendation.

My father was an automotive district manager for UPS. At one point, their department wanted the best batteries for their trucks, they tested every major brand there is. AC Delco was the winner.

I just replaced a NAPA battery that had been on my tractor for about ~7 years, also, MoPar batteries (great reputation with the Cummins owners) have worked best on my Cummins pickup. I'm on my third set and I bought the pickup new in 2001.

You buy the same original equipment battery that originally came with the Camaro. AC Delco with the same cold cranking amps. I have always bought the same original equipment for all my cars and never had a problem. Do not buy a much higher cold cranking battery cuz the alternator will not be able to fully charge the battery and you will have to replace the battery again and maybe the alternator too.

I replaced my battery on my 10 SS last year with an Interstate Battery.
Local garage had it in stock as it fits many cars. Cost 201.00 installed. Has a great warranty.

Been using NAPA for years........never an issue. As long as you match the cranking amps, you are fine.

There are only a few actual manufacturers of car batteries, really only a couple for replacement batteries. Most of the batteries you find at an auto parts store or even dealer are going to be rebadged Interstate or Johnson Controls, with the vast majority being Interstate from my experiences. My car is starting to crank slower than normal, and I think I'm going to go with an Interstate because I can get them at wholesale price through work.

My OEM Delco battery crapped out on me after 4 years so I replaced it with an Interstate Batteries one and I am very happy with it.
