Any advice?

So on the 19th of November I was going to vist my sister in south Georgia and I was all alone with nobody around for miles so I hit the gas and as soon as I did there were 2 cops sitting in the middle of the road. Well i saw them and was like noooooo!!! so i slowed down but by then I knew it was over. So they pulled me over and arrested me for super speeding. When i was slowing down I looked at the speedometer and it said 82, well i was in a 65 so i didn't think the ticket was gonna be that bad, but the first thing he asked was "do you know how fast you were going", so i said 82 but he said 102. so I got a $1,200 bond and $200 for super speeding and $200 for reckless driving. I was just notified this last saturday that my license is suspended for 6 months and I am not allowed to apply for a hardship license. Does anybody have any advice as what I can do? But I guess you gotta learn the hard way.

My best friend drove for a couple years without a license. Probably over a thousand dollars in unpaid fines. Got caught one day without his seat belt on and that was the end of the party. Cost me $1,200 to bail him out of jail (every cent he paid back).

5 years later, he has his regular license, a commercial drivers license, and drives a '94 4X4 Toyota that he feels no need to go fast in. Has a '68 Camaro at home with an 850HP 632. He didn't stop going fast, just stopping doing it so much on public roads.

Anyways.

We've all had moments of stupidity. You had yours. Unfortunately, you lost. Better luck next time!

I was stopped one time for 96 in a 70 in my '12 V6 Camaro. Got a seatbelt ticket because it was a local cop from my home town that stopped me. He had to have been doing every bit of 125+ MPH in that 'Vic to catch up to me the way he did. My record was clean, age 23 (happened last October).

My 1LE hasn't been as fast as my V6, and I don't plan on it. My car and my license is too valuable. However, I plan on taking it to the Texas Mile next year...

Eventually you grow out of it. I use to speed all up and down i35 when I would party at UNT (Denton,Texas). Didnt see a cop one day and was already going over 100 so I just floored it and kept going. Didnt even look back to see if his lights came on...took the first exit and just drove through a random city. That was scary enough to never drive that fast again!

Not that i'm an advocate for speeding, but the sad part is that 100 in a Camaro is nothing like 100 in a Corolla. Some cars are built to be a lot safer at higher speeds.

Queue the flames.

It's not bad because you are 20... You didn't get arrested because you are 20... It's that bad and you got arrested, because you did something a 20 y/o would do. Just like many that feel 20 when they drive their Camaro...

Lawyer and lots of money will be the starting point, and hope the judge isn't in a bad mood/make an example mood.
