Same here (7 years), battery tenders work wonders. I don't drive it much anymore. I'll be getting an OM one from the dealer this summer, hopefully it'll be the same or very close to it.

You guys have me thinking I can stretch mine out some yet... I always thought 5 years was about all a battery was good for? I do use a tender when stored but not through the year even though the car could sit for up to a week sometimes. Is there any way to know how a battery is doing? I suppose a load test perhaps?

Replaced the battery in my ZL1 after six years. Replaced it with a Duracell AGM, after rebate it was $205 at Batteries Plus.

Replaced my original AC Delco after 7 years, just as a precaution, with a new AC Delco.
Can't think of any reason to switch brands. |

I did it at 6.5 years (just before last winter). $160 installed at my dealer.

Mine has given me that classic hard start a couple times but never any codes. That's only on super cold nights though so far, it probably needs changing now, but I'll hang on till it starts turning slowly when it's warm out

I had a Wal Mart battery in my last Camaro for 12 years. Was the battery I traded the car in with.
