Torque Management/Throttle Response
Is it possible to tune out the torque management, and completely remove the insane lag that's present in both tour and sport mode?
In an M6, you can literally floor the car and feel it wait half a second before actually pulling in both touring and sport mode. I was also curious if it's possible to completely turn off/tune out the torque management. If I'm 100% throttle, I want the throttle blade 100% open. |

Yes, it changes the car into a different beast altogether. Also, look into porting the intake and throttle body while you are at it.

Will require custom programming.

The whole system is based off of torque management. You cannot remove it all together. The more dialed in you can get the torque management the less you think its there.

Yes unfortunately the way the architecture the PCM is designed makes it EXTREMELY difficult to skirt this. A programmer can work to change the pedal mapping but it will be difficult to eliminate all interventions from the torque management system without getting rid of the factory engine management altogether.

I hear others speak of this lag...I have absolutely no Lag. In fact mine damn near feels like a cable throttle.

I've got no lag in mine. Maybe I just don't notice it? I know my throttle response increased when I installed my gm cold air intake

hmm well manual wise.. I notice it when I was on the track. best run with street tires was 12.6 but no matter what RPM I launch it at there is also a nice little bog on launch getting the car rolling
