Yea first couple times I had to get the hang of the tire sliding because of sp9 mode which is insane to control but once I got the tires to stick at 80 percent throttle it was a piece of cake after that.

you dont need actual "launch control" features to just launch under control. Grand Tour guys pretty much called it the single most useless gimmick sports car feature invented in recent history.

Oh you're right, very much a gimmic. I used to work for VW and back when the r32 released with the same idea...but that was a dual clutch. (practically a whole building banged on that poor trans because a lot of people wanted to try it, but it held up after a 3 day event lol)

Yep.

The one and only time I recorded it with an Rode external mike...I just like hearing it over and over, saves on the trans

Why don't i have this performance timer option? This only for the 2LT models (v6)?

No you have it. You have to select it so it will show up.

You have to break and gas then when timer starts just reset it while still holding the pedals then release the brake to launch so you get a good 0-60 time.

I have the m6 so it's a little different, the timer doesn't start unless the car actually moves. The best I've gotten is 6.0 flat with a little bit of tire spin.

Thanks for that idea about resetting the timer just before/as you start to move... I haven't actually tried that yet. I know I lose anywhere from .4-.6 on an average launch on that timer because it starts counting as soon as it leaves idle.

My best times in my 4 cylinder car on the dash timer have been around 4.4-4.6, but when checking 0-60 on an external source(s) it's closer to 3.9-4.1 on a real good launch.

0-60 Time

Thanks for the idea on the reset trick! Best time yet, shaved .2 off my best without doing it. But it still translates to 4.05 seconds in my hptuners log... With practice maybe I can get the dash timer closer, but that's a lot of messing around just to get it "right"
