...What about this Start/Stop business? I believe we will see that in the new V-6, perhaps even in the I-4?...
How would that work as far as sound? Dead silence at a complete stop, or maybe some sort of artificial engine sound while dead-stopped? My guess is it will have some sort of sound full time.... |

The CTS Vsport has engine exhaust and intake sounds piped in through the stereo speakers when you put in in Track Mode. It's kind of cool. With that said, on a Camaro, less is more. I think I'd rather hear the actual motor - unenhanced.

I read VW put a separate resonator thing right against the outside of the firewall and didn't really tell anyone. I can imagine that would sound and feel pretty realistic compared to sounds through the cabin audio system. Still, if the engine isn't running right, I know I'd want to be able to hear any problems rather than have them drowned out with some cosmetic noise.
