No doubt we will MRC offered more and more, but there's no reason to suspect it will be standard for the '16 models at least at this point.

...I would think at a minimum there is currently no room for a 1LE...It's features in the new Gen will be standard in the SS.... ...The crystal ball is definitely hazy, but something's got to give.... |

I wouldn't even put it out of the realm of possibilities that the SS would have the Turbo V-6....(1 and 2 LT,LS get I-4s)...That would free up the V-8s for track duty in 1LE, ZL-1, Z/28 models....again, who knows.

If MRC is offered as an option, what do you think the cost would be?

My .02. on the OP's thoughts. I own a '14 1LE. By bro-in-law has a '13 ATS-4 (AWD, non-MRC) 2.0L Turbo, Performance Trim Level. Based on spirited driving his ATS, the 6th gen is gonna be awesome. While his AWD version wieghs more and did not have the MRC vs. the better performing RWD/MRC equipped, it is an absolute joy to drive and push hard. It begs you to push it. Somebody above described it as nimble, and that it is, and as much as I love my 1LE's steering, his ATS is amazing, just plain orgasmic.
When I drove it for the first time, he and my sister came along. She's screaming "we're gonna die!" Realistically, I was no where near its limits. It is a shame he only commutes a couple of miles to work each day, he doesn't enjoy iy near its potential. The Caddy probably weighs more than the new 6TH Gen, another plus. If GM can create a Camaro with driving dynamics as described by Justice Pete and what I saw from my BIL's ATS, as equal or better interior quality than the new Mustang, and a design that will captivate enthusiasts like our 5TH Gen did. the 2016 Camaro should be a success.

List Price as a GM parts shows the front struts at $132, $650 and $1,213 for the Z/28. The rears are $347. $700 and $859. This does not reflect the cost of sensors or additional computers to integrate the MRC |

Mrc is already a viewable option with pricing on other GM vehicles, it really isn't an expensive click of the button on the car builders.

Now if that changes by the time we get the 6th gen, that's another story.

The output of the twin turbo six and the lt1 is so close you don't need to upgrade anything. Now once you drop in a lt4 things change so that I could see being a problem only if they want the same driveline behind both the lt1 and lt4.

I agree with this. Power output is similar, and the LT1 weighs less than the TTV6, so why would beefier support be needed for the LT1?

Beefier support over the standard V6 and 2.0T is what I was referring to. Wasn't referring to the TTV6 but correct it would need the same upgrades as the LT1. However I don't believe GM is ready to replace a V8 (or offer an option so similar in performance) with a turbo V6. Especially one with no advantage over the LT1 yet.
Let's not forget all the plumbing needed for a TT setup, or was that included in the weight of the TTV6 compared to LT1?
