Changes
In the never ending effort to go faster with a limited setup and budget, I ended up with a holley hi-ram intake. While this increased trap mph 3.5mph and horsepower by a good bit, the car lost low end, and couldnt get off the line hard as it needed to (1.48 60 foot went to 1.65 60 foot, dead hook). Problem was the circle-D 5C stall wasnt stalling high enough to put the engine in the powerband.
Yeah, we fixed that. After having a transmission issue necessitating a minor rebuild, I had Chris @ Circle-D change the converter from a 5C to a 3E race stator. Hopefully the car will stall to 52-5400 now, and gain efficiency on the big end as well. Really think this is the last piece of the puzzle to finally running my 9.99 n/a in this damn car. Hopefully we will get some good weather this fall, and I can make an honest effort to run the number http://s304.photobucket.com/user/Gho...?sort=3&page=1 |

Car went 6.6 @ 99.6 mph 1.48 60' in 500DA with fast 102 setup
Car went 6.6 @ 103.5 mph 1.65 60' in 3300DA with hi-ram setup Obviously, it picked up, especially given the worse weather. Just had no guts off the line since it didnt make as much tq or power at the stall speed vs the fast. Stall change should gloriously fix that and make it more efficient up top too. Hoping it goes 6.4@104-105 and 9.9@~133-135 in the quarter this fall, with some better weather... then I can finally spray it to the moon and shoot for 8s |

Nice big gain at the 1/8th even with the crummy DA.
Good luck with the restall, 9's on motor is a grail of mine though I'll end up doing it in a lighter car like a notch.

Converter + Trans should be done and installed this week by Thursday, if my trans man gets it done on time. Finishing up last tidbits... oil change and flushing of the trans cooler... airing out to dry now.

... Or maybe run a cam that won't fit (PtoV) in our cars... that's what I'm thinking.

And that's the lsk lobe, very aggressive. It will love the rpm if the valvetrain is up to it!

The intake pushed my power peak up 900rpm, and I have 430 inches and a whole lot of compression.
