Agree, the 200 is much more bland compared to the new Malibu. In person the new 200 is decent looking, visually hits well above its class. The new malibu is certain to impress if it already looks better in photos. It's funny how that works - initially I was meh about the Malibu but now it's looking 'better'. New Mustang is even tolerable to look at now. Do we (consumers) really shape the industry or do the engineers/artists shape us?

This "Stop/Start" Technology, Can it be programmed out? I for one, hated this in a Malibu I rented earlier this year. It bugged the crap out of me. I know that BMW offers a similar feature, but the dealer said it could be programed not to shut off if I wanted. Was wondering if it was possible here as well.

To me they look very similar as well, which is fine because I like them both.

I would bet the profile shape of them is very close, aside from the bolt-ons.

As some one posted above, so many cars nowadays look so similar, and it was probably always that way as another person posted. That's one reason I bought my Camaro because no other car looks similar to it except, of course, other 5th generation Camaros.

I've had several company loaner cars in Germany with stop/start and it could be turned off. I also noticed that if you back off the brake momentarily as it comes to a stop the engine will keep running.

I just had a Touareg with adaptive cruise control. It was really cool as it damn near drove itself. Only had to steer

The roof line is very similar looking, resulting in the side glass looking similar.

That's it. Yes, it is enough to see a resemblance there, but FAR from doppelganger.

Here is where I give my overall opinion like I always do on Fen's "Reveal" threads. Nobody cares what I think, but I like giving it anyways lol

Overall, visually it doesn't stand out in the crowd like the last generation did, and I don't think that is a good thing. Very econobox shape which is bit of a bummer. I'm also aware that particular shape likely helps a bunch in highway MPG numbers, but I just wish it could be a bit more unique.

That said, its not a bad looking car (RS trim helps a lot) but the lower trims are going to look more generic.

The rest of the car seems pretty dang nice. Interior is fantastic. The technology is there. The car lost significant weight (home run!) and will likely be fun to drive.
