The Hellcat was designed differently from the ZL1..plain and simple.
Besides, how often do you hear "Yeah you know what, lets set a time and day and we'll go to Road Atlanta/Willow Springs/Laguna and run and we'll see!" vs "Hey...XYZ Friday night drags are only 20 bucks..come and run your car instead of your mouth". Because lets be honest...that is where the majority of American racing is done |

Add to that, keeping a car between the yellow lines is pretty important on the street too. Great engine, great sound, I'm sure it would be a hoot to drive

After driving a 2013 GT500 with "only" 662 HP...I cannot imagine what a car with almost that much at the wheels would be like.
Terrifying mixed with amazing I think... |

I have a couple concerns with this video...not accusing MTC of being biased or paid off, just a couple things that rasies my eyebrows:
1. they used a manual ZL1 vs the auto...(Aren't the autos faster?...) 2. If you look closely, you can clearly see the brake lights of the ZL1 come on at 12.25, with what looks like to be at least 30-50 feet left....now I am not a drag racer or a track guy...but shouldn't you wait to apply the brakes until after you cross the finish line? Either way, This hellcat looks and sounds sweet. I can't wait to find one on the road!

From what I remember it was fastest auto zl1 was faster 0-60 but manual zl1 had a faster 1/4 mile time I think. I know it is out there some where

Good but the car had DRs on it! Looking at the 1.78 60' he really launched the car easy maybe because of the recent driveshaft failures on the black car. A hard launch and low 1.60 60' this car would be deep into the 10s though.

He did have DR's but only his 4th run with the Hellcat so with some more seat time he will get into the 10's
