Coming from the S2000 and M3 world I'm familiar with the additional future value from having a more rare and sought after configuration and color. But on this car I honestly don't think it matters as much. I'm curious to see actual production numbers but even if the 1LE production numbers are relatively small it will always be a very attainable car brand new I can't see them doing anything but falling on their face rather quickly in the used market regardless of color. If anything I think owning HBM or SW could actually help the value by a small amount since they are clearly the most sought after right now. In the end buy the color you think looks best and enjoy it for the amazing value it offers.
Is there really no database GM offers to the public to see that kind of info? I know BMW offers a database where you can type in your VIN and it will give you production numbers- you can even have it break it down by options if you like so you can see how many other cars were made in exactly your configuration. It's pretty cool. |

Would love to see the breakdown of SS 1LE by color. I remember when I had my 2015 SS Sedan, folks were able to get the numbers pretty quickly and in great detail - down to color, manual or auto, sunroof, and spare tire options!

Wish there was a site like this Raptor one (link below) for Camaro...this is from my Ford Raptor Forum...type in "2017", US zone, and any permutation of options and it uses Ford's "ETIS" database to spit out production numbers, to the level of # by state dealer - even window stickers & AutoTrader/Cars.com listings!....fun to play with and found my new Raptor to my build specs locally this way...
www.raptorfinder.com There's got to be some computer savy dude here who could do similar site for Camaro's right??? UPDATE - THE GUY DOING THE RAPTOR FINDER SITE GAVE IT UP AFTER TOO MANY fFORDRAPTORFORUM MEMBERS COMPLAINED WHEN HE STARTED CHARGING $1 PER VIN LOOK-UP. DO NOT LOOK GIFT HORSES IN THE MOUTH!!! Back in 1996 I had a letter from Pontiac saying my WS6 Formula was one of 359 made with a 6 speed and green. Chevy has this info we just need to bug them for it

The data for Corvettes has been available since early June. I haven't been able to find anything in reference to 2017 Camaro production numbers with standard web searches.
