None.

And even if it is true, the Mustangs are going to be devishly disappointed when

A) It's near the top end of the power it can make (not much room to grow)
B) It must have 93 Octane.
C) It gets heavier and much more expensive.

Someone find a source other than LLN, we've already concluded those guys spin stories.
How do you know if it does not have room to grow or must have 93 octane?

As far as I know back when the fourth generation Camaro was the latest thing off the show room floor the Z28 was not more powerful than the SS. Don't know why they want to mix things up now.

My props to camaro vs props to mustang

A little birdy told me he would like to see me talk more about camaro and less about mustang since its a camaro website. I respect that.

So im gonna start a thread about the pros and cons of each and see if you agree with me.

Let me say before i start that i love all muscle cars and i would take any of the 3. But my loyalty is to mustang.

Pros of Camaro:

- GM finally realized their dumb mistake in getting rid of this icon, welcome back!

- a V6 that is over 300hp. Lots of people who are daily drivers love this

- 400 plus horses in the v8. simply said very cool

- cylinder deactivation. this is simply awesome if your on a road trip....but why isnt it available on the manual tranny?

- 4 pack gauge.......also way cool

- dual exhaust in the v6. seriously, why not stang and challenger?
- very good MPG in all models
- the car looks very cool
- Brembo breaks.......why not on the stang?

cons:

- no Z28. Its because of money.......but pretty much because of this......the GT500 has no competition, it is the king of muscle cars right now production wise.

- kind of a weird interior. some good some bad. the radio looks awful
- very small trunk space.......but......its a camaro
- YOU CANNOT HEAR THE ENGINE VERY WELL FROM THE INSIDE. wtf?
- hockey stripes.........look horrible

Pros of Mustang:

- has never gone away........stanger has always been with us!
- awesome classic look, the new interior rocks
- ENGINE NOISE IS TERRIFIC
- excellent handling, better than competition
- Glass roof. while i would never spend 3k on this......its cool
- the GT500.......nuff said
- ecoboost v6 will debut with more than 350hp beating all other v6's
- weight is less than competition by far

cons:

- sub 400hp engine. but as of today this is changing
- no 6 speed.......again this will change with new engine
- no brembo breaks........why?
- no cylinder deactivation? in this day and age.......why not?
-the base v6 looks a little plain.....better with the 2010 but still a little plain
- single exhaust v6. um why? is it to help with the exhaust note?
- MPG need to improve........but ecoboost will help with this
- they should have made the 5.0 debut with the 2010.

your thoughts?

I think that's the general consensus around here. 30K for the GT, 34K for the GT Premium. On par with the Camaro in price, much to Ford's probable dismay.

That's why there's the A/Z plan. And why I'm considering the GT 302 now..

I think the trunk is plenty big, the trunk opening is what's small. The soundproofing of the camaro is what dampens the engine noise, which also dampens the road noise as well. I have not been in a 2010 mustang yet so I can't really comment on it, but I agree on almost every point of this thread. Pretty good comparision.

thanks.

also the new mustang has a resonator tube or something in the cabin which channels engine noise to the cabin.

This will be next thread locked I would be willing to bet. If you're supposed to do less Mustang chat whey did you start this thread?

I have made two trips to the Chevy dealer (30 miles each way) and I haven't seen one car. Just a sales guy looking at the ground and saying...wish we could get some Camaro's.
