Question WHERE TO CRUISE?

If anyone have ideas where to go for a cruise, and please don't suggest Forks of the Credit, they've installed speed bumps in some sections, feel free to post.

Hey Frank.

I agree with you, re. The Forks of the Credit. Haven't been there this year, but last Fall, with the wife, it just seemed really crowded. Too crowded to enjoy a cruise, especially with multiple cars.

It's like it's now been "discovered" by a bunch more ppl.

I'm not sure where most live, but maybe "north/east" York Region may be an alternative option:

- Musselman Lake
- Keswick/Lake Simcoe
- Port Perry/Scugog

Thanks Paul,

I actually have a route to Musselman's Lake, haven't driven it in years, will have to review it on Google Maps.

Good idea, maybe we'll leave that one for another time, may take a lot more organizing.
Trying to do a different one for this Sunday short notice.

Here's a great route following the south shore of Lake Simcoe starting at Stephen Leacock's burial place near Sibbald's Point. The shore of Lake Simcoe has some wonderful cottages with great scenery. Keep your eyes peeled for the historical plaque in Roches Point on Bouchier St. The end of the route is on the patio overlooking the lake at the Orchard Beach Lakefront Grill in the north end of Keswick. To reach the kick-off point, take Hwy 48 north past the Sutton cutoff (High St.) where it swings east and then turn left at the first stoplight (Park Rd). Follow Park Rd north to Leacock's church/Hedge Rd..

Best regards,

Elie
