It's alright, but it deviates heavily from the attractive lines on current pony cars. I can see this being an interesting vehicle to a lot of buyers, but it doesn't seem to fit the rigid lines of today's domestic crowd. I would hate for our current pony cars to leave behind good design cues for import-inspired roundness. If Ford goes this route, let's hope GM keeps in mind the success of the Cadillac brand, perhaps the most angular cars on the market.

As I understand it, there's an affinity for American performance cars overseas. With the right marketing, I don't see why you'd need to design a unique American product to look more foreign. Maybe I'm crazy, but it doesn't look like Japanese manufacturers are trying to make their cars look bigger or more muscular to fit the American image.

So Ford is going to make an inexpensive Aston Martin and call it Mustang? Cool. I actually REALLY LIKE this render.

It looks a hell of a lot better than the current models. Discarding an attractive design just because it doesnt look like what you think an american car should look like would be dumb.
I had never seen the evos concept car from the top until now, that piece of glass that looks like a stripe is amazing, though the butterfly doors are kind of a turn off. |

I'd love to see a Falcon that looks like this, but not a Mustang.

That is a nice design. I may add to my collection (that I have yet to start) and get a pre-owned current Mustang when they go down in price after Ford produces this one. I am more into the 60's retro designs of right now.
