So i know this has been asked over and over again and prolly answered in full by now but whats the answer to the E-85 question? random check of this website says it is how do i know for sure? I have read that e-85 vehicles have a differen gas cap but apparently not all of them.

the story says that the camaro is on its wish list. so so far the camaro cant run on E85.
here is the story The 2010 Camaro is at the top of our wish list to be GM's next E85 Flex Fuel vehicle. High performance vehicles should automatically be ready for a high performance fuel like E85 ethanol. The Camaro comes in standard 3.6L 220 HP v6 as well as the high performance 6.2l 378 horsepower v8 which would be 385 HP or so simply by running on E85.. |

Bottom line, the LFX engine is E85 compatible in other applications like the Impala, but is not currently listed for use in the Camaro. Apparantly the tune and sensors for it are not in place. That said, with an aftermarket tune for E85 the V6 has shown very nice power improvements...the only downside that has shown its head thus far is that in winter months it can be rough when starting the car until the engine heats up. Long term effects have not been tested in the Camaro V6.

I don't know about the Camaro, but my best friend just got an E85 tune on his 5.0 and he's making 15whp more on it than 91. Also, his gas mileage has decreased by about 20%

Exactly, we just bought a flex fuel car for my wife to commute 180 miles a day. For kicks I filled it with E85 and the mileage went from 38 to 29. For less than 50 cents a gallon difference it wasn't worth it. Only if you're interested in saving the environment while depleting your pocket book should you use E85. If the cost made up for the decrease in mileage the I could handle using it.

Do not use E85 in a Camaro. The fuel system and associated components are not made to be compatible - -and you will do some serious damage.
