Absolutely! But the "no-lift shift" feature adds a bit of a technological safety margin.

For sure... but this "feature" makes it a bit easier for us rookies.

Kinda sorta like line lock... never needed it before but will be nice to have.

Now that that is settled, I have to ask...This car comes with that MOST annoying 1 to 4 programming? Truth be told I voided my warranty in the 200th mile on Gen5 with a tuner just to get rid of that. I could not live with it.

Yes.

Either push the accelerator a little more ()

Or buy a $20.00 skip-shift eliminator harness, and keep your warranty in-tact.

Or you can be really cheap and easily disable it by unplugging the solenoid on the tranny and stick a $1.50 2.2k resistor into the wiring harness to keep the trouble light off. That's what I did on my 99 TA.

Yessir, I did the same on my '98 SS and I had no issues with this solution in the 13 yrs. I owned the car... not sayin' that everything is in the same place after almost 20 years, but the principle is the same.
So for those who want to get rid of the skip-shift and might enjoy a little challenge...
