2013 Mustang GT vs 2002 Camaro LS1
Camaro: Intake/tune/3.73s... and skinnies. Best of 12.4 @ 113 mph.
Mustang: Drag Radials/tune/intake. Best of 12.6 @ 112 mph. Was too lazy to take off plasti dip on the front wheels, so it looks kinda funny. |

The mustang is an automatic. It can only launch off idle.

That tune must be way off then, a tune alone especially AED tunes will drop about a half a second in the qtr. The intake, I'm assuming a CAI adds nothing to coyote motors. So it's just the tune and tires. Low 12's is about right then.

not true, that guy didn't know how to drive his mustang. you can bring rpms up quite a bit. stock cars are running mid twelves.. looks like you got some good hole shots and are a bit more familiar with drag racing.. looks fun

There were 2 bama tune bolt on auto 5.0s on drag radials that both did 12.90's @ 109 mph... I kid you not, ~20 times in a row. Lol.
So seems pretty fast to me? |

109 with bolt ons and tune? Did they have potatoes in the intake?

Can't see the videos but sounds like you made some decent passes in the Camaro. That 5.0 needs a better driver. That's what most stock autos run.

Damn thats sad, for tuned 5.0s. Trust me I'm a chevy fan boy but them 5.0s run waaaay faster than that with a tune and intake.

Bama tunes run way too lean, im surprised more dont pop the motors. AED tunes with cat deletes and dr's will put an auto gt into the 11's. Seen it 100x

Two full bolt on 5.0s(boss intake/full exhaust/etc; one I am personal friends with) trapped 114-116 mph and ran 11.9-12.2.... on drag radials and skinnies.
A stock automatic with a tune is maybe a 12.5 car at best here. My track isn't a downhill unicorn prepped track like cecil where the DA gets negative. |
